TransMac Tip: Clearing the Flickr Uploadr Cache

TransMac is my series of tips or experiences in switching from using Windows to using the OS X operation system.

I an avid Flickr user, and I love the "Send to Flickr" add-on for Windows. Flickr has made an OS X Flickr Uploadr as well. And while not nearly as nice as the Windows Uploadr, it mostly gets the job done (still looking for something better).

One thing that has bugged me today is that the program is not checking Flickr and getting an updated list of my Sets for adding photos to, and it has no built in method for freshing the list.

So I decided I might be might be able to force it to check by deleting the local cache, and low and behold, it worked!

Quit Flickr Uploadr. Open up finder and go to your user folder / Library / Caches / and locate the Flickr Uploadr folder. Go ahead and drop that into the trash. Now open Flickr Uploadr again and when it authenticate your Flickr user it will get an updated list of your Flickr Sets.
